After participating in an ACTS Women's Retreat, women are invited to participate in weekly women's group meetings. The meetings take place on different days of the week at different times in order to accomodate the various schedules of the women of the parish. The meetings involve a time for prayer and fellowship. For more information about the retreats and upcoming retreat days, visit the ACTS retreat page. For more information about the ACTS Women's Groups, contact Liz Miller.
BELOVED is a mother’s ministry that provides a place for moms to form a community of faith within our school and parish. Whether you are a working mom or a mom staying at home with your children, our goal is to grow together in friendship, community, and prayer. We meet twice a month from August to May and have a daytime group as well as an evening group. Our meetings generally involve a book or Bible study. We also sometimes attend daily mass and adoration together. For more information contact Michelle Macicek.
“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior” Luke 1:46-47
Each month, the Beloved Ministry hosts a Holy Hour for Women. The hour of Eucharistic Adoration usually takes place on the second Wednesday of each month at 8:00 pm in the Church. Please check the bulletin in case there is a change in the date due to a conflict. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also available during the Holy Hour. Please note that there are no Women's Holy Hours during June and July.
Since 1931, Jesuits have been offering the Spiritual Exercises at Manresa Retreat House in Convent, LA. For over 90 years, men from across the South have been stepping away from the busyness of life in order to pray and retreat. Local women have often expressed a desire to have the opportunity to make a similar retreat. They would like to experience what the men in their lives have experienced. Manresa Retreat House and the Cenacle on the Lake (formerly the Archdiocese of New Orleans Retreat Center) have teamed up to make this possible. In 2023, the Cenacle on the Lake started offering “Women of Manresa Retreats” where a Jesuit priest will offer the spiritual exercises for women at the Cenacle. The retreats will follow the spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola and follow the same schedule and format of the retreats offered for the men. It will be a silent retreat from Thursday evening until Sunday midday and open to 55 women.
