My dear St. Catherine of Siena Family,
It is with much joy that I write to you with so much gratitude for all of your prayers and concerns. While in ICU and the hospital for almost two weeks with a rare form of inflammatory pneumonia, I could feel in my heart the love of Jesus and all those praying for me, which gave me such reassuring consolation that I could let go and trust in Him completely. My main purpose for writing this letter is not only to thank you for your prayers but to also make known to you the Power of the Holy Rosary and how it drastically changed the course of my health.
Not remembering much from my time at Ochsner Baptist, I found out yesterday that the night a special Rosary was prayed for me (after the Wednesday evening Mass), I was still not responding to any treatment at that point. I was on maximum oxygen with the likelihood of intubation as a next step if things did not improve. That afternoon the doctors had gone back to the drawing board and decided to try a different form of treatment. The Rosary was prayed by my fellow parishioners and by the next morning I'd made such a drastic improvement that I was able to get out of my ICU bed and have my dinner in a chair.
To me it was a miracle to have such a complete turnaround and to suddenly be on the road to recovery. Since then, I have been getting better each day. It will take a while and I have to give it time, but it is all in the hands of our Lord. All I have to do is to let go and trust and He will do the rest.
My sincere thanks to all of you, Fr. Tim and Fr. Andrew, and my fellow members of the Rosary Altar Society who I understand prayed daily rosaries for my total healing and for the doctors' wisdom. We have the greatest parish in the world and I am so thankful to be a part of it. God bless you and a big gratitude to our Lady in the Power of the Rosary.
Love, Tina D'Antoni
