IN ADDITION TO TUESDAY EVENINGS, THE RESCUE PROJECT INCLUDES
A HALF-DAY RETREAT ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4 (8:30AM - 1:30PM).
BECAUSE THE RETREAT IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF RESCUE,
IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THE RETREAT, IT'S BEST IF YOU WAIT FOR THE NEXT RESCUE COURSE IN ORDER TO HAVE THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE! THANKS!
The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel — the good news of Jesus' freeing us from the power of Sin and Death — in a compelling and attractive way over 9 weeks. Ready to go deeper after Alpha? The Rescue Project is for you! Each session includes a sharing a meal, watching a video, and discussing the video in a small group. Providing great food for reflection and discussion, Fr. John Riccardo's videos take a deeper dive into the gospel message and what it means for the life of each person. The Rescue Project is offered on Tuesday evenings. Read what SCS parishioners have to say about it below! Scroll down for the full schedule.
No fee but Registration is required at scschurch.com/rescuesignup and the full schedule is available below. Contact Joni Maurer, [email protected], with any questions.
As the weeks passed we found the videos and subsequent discussions fruitful
in learning more about God’s plan for humanity as a whole and how that applied to us in today’s world. The retreat was especially fulfilling and a great way to spend time with God distraction-free on a weekend.

It's amazing how many of my questions were answered here. Deep questions. Questions about my purpose in life. Why are we here? Why do I exist? Am I loved? Can I love? Am I good enough? These questions were always in my heart and I had no direction to find answers. Thanks to the Rescue Project, I learned that the Holy Spirit gives us the understanding to know that God's work is in me and for me....Today, can speak of my love of God, my faith, and the power of prayer without worrying about people reacting negatively.

Meeting weekly can be tough with work and other commitments, but the Rescue Project
quickly became something I genuinely looked forward to each time. If you’re on the
fence about Rescue Project, I say take the plunge and try it. Great friendships, great
talks, and great dinners!

Father John's videos are wonderfully done. He is an amazing speaker and I hung on every word from start to finish of every video. There was a lot of information but never once did I feel overwhelmed by it all. Fr John explained things clearly and made it easy to understand. There were so many a-ha moments for me. Every week at the end of the session I would say to myself, "wow, it's over and time to go already?!"
