St. Catherine of Siena Parish
"Encountering Jesus, Igniting Hearts, Transforming the World"
NOVEMBER INTENTIONS
October was a blessed and busy month! The Alpha and Rescue Project retreats were fruitful and well-attended, and we enjoyed beautiful weather for our parish fair. The capital campaign is off to a strong start as we plan for the future of St. Catherine Parish. More opportunities for prayer, service and spiritual growth are on the calendar for November. “Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others, knowing that you will receive from the Lord the due payment of the inheritance.” Col 3:23-24
Please say the Parish Prayer daily for the following intentions in November:
• For the repose of the souls of those who will be remembered in our All Souls’ Memorial Mass and for the comfort of those who gather to pray for them.
• For all involved in the CYO lockout, that it be a fun opportunity to deepen the bonds of faith-based friendships.
• For all SCS outreach efforts, that those providing services to others and those who receive services see in each other the presence of Jesus.
• That the Eucharistic Miracle exhibit inspire deeper reflection on and faith in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
• For those involved in the Men’s ACTS Retreat and in the new Faith Companions ministry, that they may come to know Jesus better through experiences of Catholic Christian community.
• That the success of the capital campaign allows SCS to better serve the needs of parishioners and the community.
• That all parish efforts be fruitfully engaged in making progress toward the SCS mission of being a place for Encountering Jesus, Igniting Hearts, and Transforming the World.
• For renewed peace and unity in the Church, our country, and around the world; for an end to division; and for true conversion of heart for those who protest at SCS on Sundays and all who promote causes that are contrary to the human dignity of every person.
• For the protection of priests, deacons, staff and ministry leaders at SCS as they work to facilitate in our parish the growth of a culture that nurtures the development of disciples of Jesus; for Dcn. Don Richard as he continues treatment for cancer; and for Fr. Ronnie, that he may be filled with Christ’s grace and peace.
God Our Father, we thank you for our parish community of St. Catherine of Siena. Thank you for the many blessings that you have given us, but especially for calling us to serve as disciples of your son, Jesus Christ. As we gather today, we ask that you send your Holy Spirit to guide us in everything that we do. Transform our hearts and lead us closer to you. Help us always to seek to be a parish that is Centered on Christ and Ablaze with Love. We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus, and through the intercession of our Blessed Mother. St. Catherine of Siena, pray for us!
