MAY INTENTIONS
He is risen!
Our Triduum liturgies were beautiful celebrations of the sacrifice and victory of Jesus, and we are grateful to God (and to the many people who participated in putting them on). We celebrated with our RCIA participants as they were welcomed into the Church, and our First Communicants were excited to receive the Eucharist for the first time. “Good indeed is the Lord; his mercy endures forever, his faithfulness lasts through every generation.” Ps 100:4-5
Please say the St. Catherine Prayer daily in April for the following intentions:
• That the glory of the Easter season bring hope and joy to everyone in the SCS community.
• For our school community as the end of the school year approaches, that their last weeks together may be productive and joy-filled.
• For members of the SCS community who will graduate from high school or college this month, that they keep their eyes fixed on Jesus and that the Holy Spirit guide the next steps of their journey.
• For an increase in vocations, especially from SCS parish; for all who will be ordained this year; and for seminarians Eddie Bergeron and (soon to be Deacon) Kevin Seay, who will serve at SCS parish in the coming months, that the Holy Spirit may govern their hearts and minds.
• That we are attentive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance as we continue to discern the details of the SCS Pastoral Plan for the next 5 years.
• For all those planning and preparing to offer the SCS Men’s ACTS Retreat and all who will be attending, that Jesus might move powerfully in their lives.
• For renewed peace and unity in the Church, our country, Ukraine and around the world, and an end to division.
• For the reduction of the impact of Covid on all aspects of the health and well-being of all people.
• For the protection of the priests, deacons, staff and ministry leaders at SCS as they work to develop cultures of prayer, teamwork, and true discipleship in our parish; for Dcn. Don Richard as he continues treatments for cancer; and for Fr. Ronnie, that he may be filled with Christ's grace and peace.
God Our Father, we thank you for our parish community of St. Catherine of Siena. Thank you for the many blessings that you have given us, but especially for calling us to serve as disciples of your son, Jesus Christ. As we gather today, we ask that you send your Holy Spirit to guide us in everything that we do. Transform our hearts and lead us closer to you. Help us always to seek to be a parish that is Centered on Christ and Ablaze with Love. We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus, and through the intercession of our Blessed Mother. St. Catherine of Siena, pray for us!
