Reading the Bible is so important for Catholics to get to know Jesus and His great plan for us. St. Jerome said: “Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ.” God wants to be in relationship with us. God wants speak to us. One of the primary ways that He does this is through his word, the Bible. If we never read the Bible, we never hear His message and then we wonder where God is and why He isn’t speaking to us. If we read the bible, however, if we pray with the scriptures, God can and will speak to us.
We encourage you to daily read the scriptures. If you don't own a Bible, we encourage you to buy one. If you need one, we will give you one.
